I lost almost all the vids I had downloaded over the past few years as my external stopped working. :( So I'm looking to find them all again and my google-fu is turning up squat. I'm going to go only two fandoms at a time because the list is biiiiig. I know all the makers and the songs. I just can't find where to download them. Dead links and such. So onto the vids I'm looking for.

ANGEL VIDS
Miserable by Ryan (from morbidmuch) This was an Angel/Darla vid.
Everyday Is Exactly the Same (also by Ryan) It was an Angel/Angelus vid.
Whatever by Luminosity. That hilarious one where Angel is super gay.

Other Vid Info

Lum & Milly were easy, as I know both are still active and online. It's been a while since I updated my BtVS & AtS vid links, so I decided to look for info on the others and update at the same time.

No joy on finding the actual vid files for the rest you want, but found other vids from the vidders and some potential avenues for contact with the vidders that you might try. You might already have the info, but....

For future reference, you know about Buffyverse Music Video Database (BMVD - searchable compendium of information about and links to online music videos based on the shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel), yes? Great info source.

While BMVD only lists, not hosts, vids you can contact member vidders through the site. Click contact link on each vidder's page. Ryan, Sassy Kitten, and Txlsplash are listed as member vidders and have pages there.

Zohar is not listed at BMVD, but is actively vidding and online, and has a joint LJ with Dor and tags vid posts: http://bunnythenavia.livejournal.com/

Here's the LJ post for Para-Noir by Zohar, Spike/Buffy; it is currently offline. I'd suggest contacting Zohar using PM info on LJ page and also leave a comment on the vid post itself to see why the vid is offline and if they will re-up it.

Ryan's Morbidmuch site is still online (resume, portfolio), but all fan vids were removed Feb 2008, when they were shifted to Imeem. Since Imeem no longer hosts fan vids, I looked elsewhere. Ryan does have a YouTube channel, but the vids you want aren't listed, and it looks like no activity in the last three years. You can contact Ryan via email (ryan at morbidmuch dot com) and see if more vids are online elsewhere or if Ryan will re-up the vids you want via a temp host site.

Sassy Kitten's old site (http://www.sassykittenvids.com) is no longer online. Using the Wayback Machine will pull up archived copies of the vid info pages, but links to the vids are broken. Sassy Kitten has a LJ (http://sassykittenjess.livejournal.com/profile), and tagged for vids, but it hasn't been updated in years.

Txlsplash's vid website is still up on Geocities. But most (NOT all) vid file links are broken. About a dozen vids with files hosted at Nicky's site are still available and there may be others too. Unfortunately, the vid you want is NOT available through Geocities or at Nicky's.

Try emailing (ilyajones at gmail.com) or PM through LJ. Txlsplash's LJ was updated today, so still around; not sure if still vidding (http://txlsplash.livejournal.com/profile). No tags or memories and very few posts have subject headers so searching the LJ is a pain.

BMVD does list a vidder called Katie, but no idea if it is same Katie who vidded the Buffy/Riley vid you are looking for because that vid is not listed. Katie at BMVD has a vid site at Geocities, but doesn't list the vid you want. Site also says her vids are down temporarily, but no date listed - could be quite old or recent.

Katie of Simple Ruse, I don't think is on LJ - She used to run Reverie forum but that's gone now and her site is down too(simple-ruse.org). I don't have that particular vid either. I may be able to find an old email and I'll contact her, see if she responds.

Because I am just that offline-task avoidant at the moment, I took a quick look-see at Ryan's LJ (thanks to thedothatgirl for the info). I found a post where another vidder was seeking a DL link for a vid from Ryan. No posted reply from Ryan, but the person asking did say "I have almost all of your videos saved" so it might be worth contacting her if you don't hear from Ryan. silver_venus42 aks Leslie was the one asking for a DL link.
