I am desperately looking for a vid I came across a good while ago via a link on somebodies LJ but didn't bookmark or download. *face-palm*
It was a very impressively executed multi-source vid that looked at the relationship between white colonial masters and 'natives' using clips across a whole range of relevant movies. I can't remember the music, it might have been instrumental, but I'm not sure. No idea who the vidder was either, or when it was originally released.
I know, it's not much to go on, but if you have ANY ideas at all, let me know, I would be eternally grateful. I've tried all sort of search engines, but with so little info to go on they didn't turn up anything at all.

I am putting a little vid show together to make vids a bit more accessible to somebody who's not a fandom person at all and just does not get the 'point' of making vids (my mum, to be precises). I am looking for vids that are accessible and that illulstrate the range of vids there are. The one I posted about here would have been a great piece to illustrate 'vids as critical exploration of source material'. The one who pointed out might work quite well for this pupose, only draw back is that the spoken dialogue is integral to the understanding, so I'll have to subtitle it (mum does not speak English that well).
