dead poets society...

hi there,

my search is actually very general, i'm just looking for vids for one of my favourite & an absolute great movie: 'dead pots society'. i just know of three vids & there just HAVE to be more, please help me... any vids at all (also on youtube or imeem or etc.) will be welcomed with open arms ;P

the ones i already have are: 'helena' by corn_child / 'lullaby' by eunice / 'will you be there' by di. and while they're all superb, they're just not enough - so, dps vids, anyone? i'm desperate for them!  [so desperate i'm actually considering making one of my own... just imagine that]


ps. i'm not really sure a search for a whole movie is allowed, but i hope so, if not, just delete it [that would make me :(  though]

DPS is just not, as far as I know, vidded all that often; movies that old don't typically have a huge catalog of vids. The three you've named are all the ones I know of. The only other one I know about is the Dead Poets Society x House crossover - if you're interested in that (and it is a truly interesting vid - it creates a Dead Poets Society AU, basically - but it's at least 50% House content, so I'm not sure it's what you're looking for), let me know, and I'll find a link for you.

Otherwise - sorry, but what you've got is what I know. However, I did find some vids on YT doing a search for dead poets society vid (http://youtube.com/results?search_query=dead+poets+society+vid&search=). I haven't seen any of those results, so I can't testify to their quality or content, but I think YT is pretty much the only place you'll find anything more.

mh, maybe you're right, it's really quite an old movie :( at least the ones we have are perfect & made by great vidders.

& ooh! a dps/house crossover *double squee*, that sounds intersting - & i happen to loove house! so, now all i need is the link...
& i'm going to check out some of the youtube vids & suggested. even if i don't like the site much... i hate it if i can't download a vid, well... still waiting for the link here :)

I've sent an email to the DPS x House vidder asking for a DL link (because I can't find it in the vidding community memories, the tags on the House vid community don't seem to be working, and I just cannot remember where I found the vid, darn it). I'm hoping she'll either post here or email me back soon. Let me know if it's been a couple days and you still don't have the vid, okay?

In the meantime - yeah, YT kind of sucks for vid-watching purposes. But at least one of the DPS vids on YT is available for DL at higher quality (A Kind of Magic (http://viddinghappens.com/miscvids.html)), so that's cool. (I can't make any promises about the quality of that vid, though, as I haven't watched it. But at least it's downloadable!) Also, if you find any vids you really like on YT, you can always get a (teeny, but what can you do?) downloadable .avi version of it using vixy.net. (Which I totally recommend, because vids can and do disappear from YT very easily.)

Okay, that was superfast - I've already got a response from the DPS x House vidder! She says you can download it here (http://www.seattle-network.com/~ChargeofC4/dpswilson.zip) (off-click, save as, 30 MB zipped) or watch it on YT here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=XLFqHy00R-w). I recommend the download; this is totally a keeper, especially if you're a fan of both the movie and the show. (I've never seen either, as it happens, and I still love the vid, so - really, if you enjoy both House and DPS, definitely you should go straight for the download.)

wow, that was fast as well! thanks so much for both of the links. (& i knew about vixy, i think there are several sites like that, but somehow it rarely works for me, don't know why...)

i'm now off to watch those vids... & you should absolutely watch 'dead poets society'! it's a really lovely movie, a bit sentimental & everything, but absolutely sweet & tragic & just all around perfect, *lol*!
