I am looking for a Stargate Atlantis vid. It's a character vid of Mckay and the song used is Canadian Idiot by Weird Al Yankovic.

I found two listings. Haven't seen either so no idea if they are the same with different vidder names or two completely different versions. Hope that one is what you were hunting.

No idea if there is a downloadable version for this or not. But you can capture the vid using www.keepvid.com (saves as flv format, need a flash video player or can use the fantastic VLC player handles flv format as well as many other formats) or capture the video as an avi using www.vixy.net

Thanks for the help, I'll check out both of these. Also thanks for the vid capture site links. I was wondering though if you know any vid capture sites that can rip imeem.com vids.

You're welcome. Keep in mind, though, that the captured video will NOT be any higher quality than the original streaming video - which means it's pretty poor from YouTube. And no, I've not found any site/program that will capture from Imeen. Some Imeem vidders also provide downloadable versions of their vids, using their own website or linking off LJ through a temp host site - but since they tend not to link back to their own websites or vid announcements from Imeen, it can be tricky sometimes to find the downloadable versions.

If you're using Firefox you could try the DownloadHelper (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006) extension. It worked really well up for both songs and video until a couple of months ago when imeem changed how they link to media files but it started sporadically working again sometime within the last couple of weeks.
