Highlander vids

Back when I first started downloading vids (six or seven years ago) I had several Highlander vids that got lost when I moved to a newer PC. I was just wondering if any of them were still available on the net.

Two of them were general series vids to Hammer to Fall, and Bohemian Rhapsody. The other featured Duncan, Methos and Kronos, to It's All Been Done.

I'm sorry but I have no idea who the vidders were.

Highlander Vids

The Highlander vid set to "It's All Been Done" that leaps to mind is Alex's fantastic version, found on the Media Cannibals tape #5, Not With a whimper. But until quite recently, none of the Media Cannibals' vids have been online, and AKAIK, Alex's vid has never been online.

In the last year or two, not quite a dozen MC vids have been remastered and put online. Five have been Pros vids, and can be found at the The Circuit Archive which archives vids and art, in addition to fan fiction.(http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/vids.php)

You can also find some remastered MC vids - including two wonderful HL vids (Suite & I Am the Cat) - on Sandy & Rache's (AKA Clucking Belles) vid site. They prefer the site not to be linked in a LJ unles the indexing is turned off and since I'm not sure if that's the case with Vidfinders, I'm going to err on the side of caution and say email me (lj name at aol dot com) if you don't have the site already bookmarked and need the URL.

Quick aside, I HIGHLY recommend all the vids on Sandy & Rache's site; there's a wide variety of fandoms represented and they are all excellent!

There is another HL vid set to "It's All Been Done" that was vidded by Davechicken and is online, but it was posted in 2005, so not sure it's old enough for what you're looking for. There are about a dozen HL vids at the Penubis archive, by several different vidders.

Hammer to Fall and Bohemian Rhapsody aren't ringing any bells when it comes to Highlander vids, sorry.

For as large a fandom as HL has been/remains, there are comparatively few vids online. Some incredible HL vids were put out on songvid tapes, but have never been digitized or remastered and put online (like Media Cannibals and many of the WOAD vids).

There are some fantastic HL vids online, though sadly, Killa took her vids offline last year. HL vidders who have put some great vids online include (and going off memory, so NOT exhaustive and I'm sure to miss a few whose work I love!): Carol S. (whose collaborations with Killa remain online); Jill, Kathy, Kay, Lynn & friends; Shalott; Melina; Lum; Lithium Doll; Gianduja Kiss; Diana Williams.

Thank you very much for this. It was always going to be a bit on the off-chance, as I couldn't find them around at the time I changed PCs. I have quite a few Highlander vids, but these were some of the first vids I ever saw.

You might still check out the Davechicken vid. Though the archive shows the upload date as 2005, it's possible the vid might have been online earlier elsewhere. You might also consider posting your search on the Vidder mailing list or the LJ community vidding. Both have large readerships with a long collective memory for vids.
