Specifically In BtVS I'm looking for Xander/Spike pairing vid set to Laid sung by James (not Marsters, that's the name of the band.:))
Specifically in AtS, Angel/Lindsey pairing set to Last Stand in Open Country by Willie Nelson and Kidd Rock.
Specifically in SV, CLex, Set to I Want Your Sex, by George Micheal.
In addition to those there once was this very very huge data base of vids listed by fandom. I no longer have that link either, and I would love it if someone has it or any links to good vids from the following: BtVS, AtS, SV, SPN.
Thanks for the help.

Date: 2007-05-17 03:26 pm (UTC)There may be more than one SV vid set to I Want Your Sex, as it's been vidded often in various fandoms. Eisa had a popular SV vid set to I Want Your Sex back in 2002 or 2003, IIRC. It includes footage from Queer as Folks (UK & US). Still available online at her website; link below to vid page - second button from the left.

When you say database of vids, are you speaking strictly of a database? Or archives? Roach's Realm, which Charmax links above, is both though the archive is a bit problematical. Or might you be thinking of Video Elite's vid listing? It lists a large number of vid websites, broken out by fandoms (though the listing is actually smaller these days than in years past).
Video Elite:

There are few large, multi-fandom vid databases and large multi-fandom vid archives are almost non-existant - unless you count those personal archives that are restricted to a few vidders, but who have vidded in across fandom lines. Most databases and archives tend to be mono-fandom. There's the Buffyverse vid database which includes Angel the Series as well as Buffy (again, Charmax links above). The Smallville Music Video Archive is still accessible, not sure how often or recently updated.
Smallville Music Video Archive:

There are several LJ communities for vids in BtVS, AtS, SV, and SPN:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel: the Series, Firefly: jossversecinema

Smallville: sv_vids
http://community.livejournal.com/sv_vids/
Smallville (Lex/Lana): ll_fanvid
http://community.livejournal.com/ll_fanvid/
Supernatural: supernaturalvid
http://community.livejournal.com/supernaturalvid/
Also, check out the fandom specific newsletters for those fandoms as most will include vids in their info roundups.
I would strongly encourage you to watch the LJ community newsletter Veni, Vidi, Vids. It has weekly, biweekly, and monthly roundups of vids in a wide variety of fandoms that have been posted online, focus on LJ. It also includes anime music videos. Newsletters are broken out by fandom groupings depending on the number of vids (e.g. Anime, Games, Comics, Heroes, and Smallville are in one newsletter, Supernatural has its own newsletter due to high volume). The Meta newsletter also lists vid recs that have been posted throughout LJ.

Use the tags to find all specific posts that include that fandom, if you don't want to scroll through all the back issues. E.g. Supernatural is tagged:

I would also suggest that you look at the memories sections for the LJ community Vidding, which breaks out the vids posted by fandom. Very easy to use; memories are listed on the profile page, then just look for the fandom you're interested in.
http://community.livejournal.com/vidding
The Reel LJ community is designed for vid reviews and recs. Multi-fandom in scope, check their memories for breakout by fandom.

The Crack Van now includes vid recs on Fridays. There's a link for vid recs on the main page (identified by fandom), though the memories page doesn't list vids at all.

The Fourth Vine now makes periodic vid rec posts, along with her fan fiction recs. Because her LJ has a large readership, the comments to her vid posts - especially the vid meta posts - tend to have a high number of other recs and links. Always worth perusing.

Re: SV Vid & Databases & Vid Recs
Date: 2007-05-17 07:57 pm (UTC)Database perhaps was the wrong word, it more like a huge link list by pairing, vidder, or fandom. It was awesome and I can remember nothing about it. Oh well, I have a lot of places to start now, so no worries.
Thanks again. So much.
Re: SV Vid & Databases & Vid Recs
Date: 2007-05-18 12:46 pm (UTC)I asked about the database/archive/listing issue not to be pendantic but because I was trying to jog my memory about the possible choices. The only thing that comes to mind is Minotaur's Slash Database, which did include search by pairings as well as fandoms, included vids, and multi-fandom in focus. But the Slash Database never had many vid sites, and you couldn't search by a vid title, AFAIK. Bit of a moot point, as the Slash Databse wasn't updated/upgraded for several years, though you could still add in your own sites and run searches. It was officially closed a month or so ago by Minotaur.
The Fan Fiction Directory had a vid section but it was never that large and while you could search by fandom, other searches were limited. The Directory has largely been abandoned since 2005, AFAIK.
AMV.org is a huge vid database and archive with extensive search capabilities, but it's restricted to anime music videos so no live action/media fandom vids are included.
Kawoosh is a huge vid database, with extensive search options, but it is restricted to Stargate: SG1 and Stargate: Atlantis vids.
I'm drawing a blank on what multi-fandom media vidding database it could have been if it wasn't Roach's Realm. Unless, maybe, you're thinking of the old database that ViVid Con up for encouraging comments/feedback to those vidders who had their vids shown at ViVid Con? The database only listed premiering vids, 2002-2003, but that was actually a significant number of vids. There were no links to the actual vids or the vidders or websites, just the vid info.
Whether that was it or not, you might be interested in the new VVC database that just went public. Details here on what's included and what's not yet there:

Date: 2007-05-18 02:34 pm (UTC)SV Vid & Databases & Vid Recs - Continued
Date: 2007-05-17 03:29 pm (UTC)The best way to find vid recs that match your tastes is to identify some vidders whose work you enjoy, then check out their LJs or other websites and see who they recommend. Nearly all vidders will mention other vids and vidders that they think are worth watching. For LJs, check out the tags and memories. For websites, look for a rec or links page.
For example, since you're looking for BtVS/AtS vids by Sisabet and Dr. Dawn (real-life sisters), you might try Sisabet's LJ and her Del.icio.us bookmarks for various vid recs.
http://sisabet.livejournal.com/tag/recs
http://del.icio.us/sisabet
Sisabet's taste in vids often overlaps with vidders like Luminosity (LJ=sockpuppet), Here's Luck, Flo, Wendy, and a bunch of others. So if you like Sisabet's recs, check out the others' LJs and websites. A few places to start:
http://heresluck.livejournal.com/
http://sockkpuppett.livejournal.com/
http://f1renze.livejournal.com/
There are a lot of BtVS and AtS vids, and a number of excellent vidders in the Buffyverse. A few - and I stress few - of my favorite vidders in the Buffyverse are listed below in alpha order. It's by no means all-inclusive! Honest, there are many vidders I didn't list that I do like.
Buffyverse vidders that I'd recommend:
Allyson Heisey, Astarte, Boniblithe, Butterfly, Carol S, Charmax, Cornchild, Dualbunny, Flo, Gianduja Kiss, Gwyn R, Hazel S. (Aycheb), Here's Luck, Jackie Kjono, Katheryn S. (tallulah71), Killa, Laura Shapiro, Milly, Morgaine, Pipsqueak, SDWolfpup, Shalott, Sisabet, Sue Donym, True Xena, Wendy, Wolfing, Yhlee.
Again, Supernatural is not my fandom but it's a hot fandom de jour, so I've seen a lot of vid recs for it. I know that
